"Nashua is a Great Tech Spot"

A recent article by the Nashua Telegraph, entitled Yaris hailed as a ‘Big picture thinker’, talks to the importance of a business location especially for startup companies. Ben Yaris, of startup company Forcivity, is featured in the article on their big move to Nashua, NH to @ Gateway Hills recently.

Ben Yaris, CTO of Forcivity was quoted saying,
“Being in Nashua gives me the ability to get that talent. I like Nashua personally because it’s centrally located. It’s north of Boston and it’s south of Manchester. I feel that gives us the best 20-, 30-mile radius around for developers or engineers or salespeople. I think Nashua is a great tech spot.” - Nashua Telegraph

Forcivity, is our Runner-Up in the 2016 FlatleyChallenge in the hitech category. They were awarded free office space for the year @ Gateway Hills.

Yaris continues, “It’s a pretty good deal, especially for a startup. It’s a lot of money we get to save.” - Nashua Telegraph

Announcing the 2016 Winners of the 5th Annual Flatley Challenge

January 24, 2017 – The John Flatley Company is pleased to announce the winners of the 2016 Flatley Challenge.

Taking 1st place in the brand new BioTech category is XenoTherapeutics, a Non-Profit focused on the science of transplanting tissues and organs of dissimilar species.  After receiving direction and positive feedback from the FDA, XenoTherapeutics is on its way to completing their first human clinical trial in 2017.  You can see their latest news in the Boston Herald: Ground Breaking Biologic Band-Aid.

Taking 1st place in our HiTech catergory is Datanomix, a stealth mode start-up solving major cloud infrastructure challenges for enterprise companies.  With deep roots in Nashua and former experience working for DataGravity and EqualLogic (acquired by Dell), both long-standing tenants of the Nashua Technology Park (NTP), we are excited to have Datanomix join the Gateway Hills community and continue to grow and innovate with us.
Both companies will receive one year of free office rent at Gateway Hills and a $10,000 prize.

"Winning the Flatley Challenge literally means the world to me and my team at XenoTherapeutics.” Said Paul Holzer, President & CEO, XenoTherapeutics, Inc.  “We were finalists in the MassChallenge; we were finalists in HubWeek; but to end our first year as the winner of such a prestigious prize recognizes the refinement and maturity of our organization.  The generous (and greatly appreciated) $10,000 prize is just the start we needed to make 2017 even more productive.  The Flatley Challenge is an amazing program that helps build New England's already sterling reputation of recruiting tech startups and emerging businesses.  We are proud to have our Non-Profit be a part of such a great competition and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Gateway Hills Community."

Datanomix Founder/CTO, Greg McHale said, "Nashua has always been a bastion for innovative companies and has a strong pool of high tech talent continuing that trend.  John Flatley and his team recognize this, and have built a first class campus and supportive eco-system that is perfect for emerging companies.  There is no better location to build Datanomix, and we are honored to have won the 2016 Flatley Challenge.”

We also want to recognize and assist two Runners-Up this year by offering free office space at Gateway Hills; Forcivity, a cloud-based data reporting and access platform startup wins 2nd place in the HiTech category and Therapeutic Innovations, a healthcare engineering startup developing cost-effective pediatric care devices for the developing world wins 2nd place in the BioTech category.  We hope that this recognition as well as the awarded office space will aid in their growth and development over the next few years.

Forcivity is looking forward to moving into their new office space at NTP next month.  “Receiving runner-up in the Flatley Challenge is new validation that we’re creating something special at Forcivity,” said Steve Baines, CEO and founder.  “Having a beautiful new space in a location surrounded by other great tech companies is a huge step forward for us.”

Therapeutic Innovations stated, “It is an honor to be selected as runner-up for the prestigious Flatley Challenge.  We are very excited to move to the Nashua Technology Park and are hoping to become an integral part of the Gateway Hills community.”

"We recognize their potential for success and we will be following them closely with the hope that they will soon be a member of the growing Nashua Technology Park family," said John Flatley, President of the John Flatley Company.
