Getting Closer to Breaking Ground in Merrimack

We are getting closer to breaking ground in Merrimack! The Union Leader recently previewed the development plans for Merrimack Commerce Park in the article "Nearly all permits in place for large, mixed-use project in Merrimack".

The Union Leader lists Kevin Walker of The John Flatley Company's description of the plans, saying, the future residences are going to be upscale apartments that ideally will attract retail. The plan is to build five residential buildings of one- and two-bedroom garden-style apartments. A pool, tennis courts and clubhouse are in the development plans as well. Once completed, this space will hold 240 apartments, 300,000 SF of retail space and 120,000 SF of industrial space.

Exciting developments to be underway soon! With nearly all permits to start the mixed-use project, we are close to breaking ground! The style of the new developments will be similar to the apartments at Nashua’s Tara Heights.

"Flatley Challenge Helps Tech Companies to Grow in NH"

The John Flatley Company's Annual Flatley Challenge was recently featured in the Business NH Magazine for its efforts to help startup tech companies grow in New Hampshire. The Flatley Challenge is an annual competition for startup businesses and organizations. The winners of the competition each receive $10,000 in addition to free office space for a year at Gateway Hills. The Business NH Magazine's article "Flatley Challenge Helps Tech Companies to Grow in NH" details the winners and runners-up of the 2016 Flatley Challenge and each of their future business plans.

"I saw a need for startups in New Hampshire to be given a chance to succeed. One way to do this, from my perspective, was to provide promising companies free incubation space and a small monetary incentive" -John Flatley, quoted in Business NH Magazine.

XenoTherapeutics receives prize at the Flatley Awards Ceremony
XenoTherapeutics was highlighted on their achievement in winning the Flatley Challenge in the New Biotech Category, as well as its continued growth as a startup company in the science of xenotransplantation. XenoTherapeutics is looking forward to continued success in their clinical trials these upcoming months.

The 2017 winners join previous Flatley Challnege winners , Plexxi Inc., VGo Communications, Pilera Software, SMTP, Infinio, XCube and SimQuest Systems, most of which are still located in Gateway Hills.
